Seems you have only 7 skills? Toss in Blackout, which is a superb spell for a IW mes with domination.
Looks decent, but you might want to sub something with distortion (in case alot of ranger or warrior fire is aimed at you). Also, your energy management is somewhat weak, but there isn't alot you can do about that. Perhaps dropping backfire for conundrum (to slow casters significantly) might help...
Looks ok overall, would you be using rogue or enchanter armorset?

uhm im thinking of using enchanter for leggins and chest due to the +15& defense while casting and rogue for the rest and thanks for the comments! look up i editted the build =p i replaced back fire with arcane like u said, well, since fast casting may help, i swapped domination out for fast casting and putted in drain enchant for more energy. i decided to keep the distorsion due to the fact that there are alot of warriors in CA/TA

Hmm enchanters is +energy, using enchanters in that location would give you +5 energy from basic armorset. Using Virtuoso would give you the +15 AL while casting, but you generally need a full set for the benefit of that to be noticeable. I'd advise going fully Roguesetted, or full enchanter. Wearing rogue is a sure sign of an IW mes usually, and the mighty fist of signet of humility / enchant removal will be watching if the other side has a clue.
For equip, have 1 set with a 20% enchanting sword / focus, and an illusion wand/ focus. That way you can look like a normal mesmer, then switch to sword, cast IW and rush in.
Another thing worth looking at is Sympathetic Visage. It's a crippling factor against anything that uses melee, and also acts as a good cover enchantment for IW, which is a primary target for removal.

Imagined Burden is extremely useful, runners are always annoying and since its not sprint you get flurry and snare. Illusion of weakness is usually good for ca, and i personally prefer going with healing signet and 16 illusion/9 inspiration/9 tactics and accepting the fact that casting times are less, but then again your mainly hitting things. spirit of failure can then be subbed in for whatever and in 1v1, or 2v1, or anything where they are attacking you then your more or less invincible against most ca players.
iW [e]
imagined burden
illusion of weakness
healing signet
distortion
flurry
spirit of failure
res sig
+20% enchant mod.
less offense but still a killer with the toughness to survive in non-monk situations.

for IW to be really effective u'd always need a cover enchatment for IW. Things like Sympathetic Visage or an even better one would be Illusion of Haste. Due to the fact that this build is built around one single spell, the moment it is stripped, u're basically useless for the time ur IW is recharging.

imagined burden
flurry
drain enchantment/power drain
either feast

it ok. you can do a lot of things around IW. interrupting a foe during your IW onslaught is a lot of fun.

here's the one i run in competition arena....
16 (12+4) illusion
10 tactics
9 (8+1) fast casting
IW [E]
Flurry
Deadly Riposte
Conjure Phantasm
Distortion
Healing Signet
Illusion of Weakness
Res Signet
it has its weakness (only 1 enchantment) but random arena is staggeringly low on enchant removal so it doesnt usually matter too much. also, if it does get removed, i carry a staff and just make sure every enemy has phantasm on them at all times. deadly riposte is a great way to give someone a -8 degen for about 18 seconds, also

I think channeling is a good cover for IW. It's cheap and at the right inspiration level it last slightly longer than IW.

Blackout is a good skill to be used as u're whacking away with IW, since u're doing nothing during that time so it'll be useful to do some additional shutdowns..

problem with blackout is its a domination skill.
you need to max out illusion, put good points into inspiration or tactics for some healing, and then a little fast casting helps you actually get off the spells you need to. even if you went domination instead of fastcast, that still leaves you with less than 10 in dom....

I would be tempted to use some form of mantra in place of distortion, as it just doesn't really last long enough to have any real effect, it drains your energy, and you have to keep casting like crazy.
